Red Devils came close to signing the Basque star last summer.
Manchester United head coach David Moyes has asked his scouts to continue running their eye over Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera ahead of a possible move for the player this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Premier League champions were of course in for the former Spain Under-23 international during the previous summer’s transfer window, only for their planned move for the player to collapse at the very last minute.
And that is because the Red Devils were reluctant to pay the 332 million release clause in Herrera’s contract with the Basque giants, although that is only set to increase to £37m as of July 1, which is why the Scot has asked his scouting team to keep a close eye out on how the Spaniard is performing between now and the end of the campaign.
Herrera, 24, has managed to register three goals and six assists in total so far in his 28 La Liga outings for his club.
