Juventus have received a £47m bid from Manchester United for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, Gazzetta dello Sport have confirmed.
The Italian giants are now set to consider the offer, with a contract of £6.3m per year also on the table for the 27-year-old World Cup star, who has also been linked with Liverpool this summer.
Widely regarded as one of the best in the world in his position, United are determined to bring him to Old Trafford after missing out on the signing of German playmaker Toni Kroos, who instead left Bayern Munich for Real Madrid.
It remains to be seen if Juve will be ready to let Vidal go for that price, with the South American becoming a crucial player for the club, helping them to the Serie A title in each of his three seasons in Turin.
The wages being offered to Vidal are said to be double what he currently earns, and may put Juventus in a difficult position in their efforts to keep him at the club.
