Superstar has not opened talks with Los Blancos.
Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo says he has not held talks with Real Madrid over a new contract.
The Portuguese superstar has been linked with a sensational return to Old Trafford this summer, rumours that were only strengthened by reports that the 28-year-old has put his Spanish mansion on the market.
Ronaldo has scored an astonishing 201 goals in 199 appearances since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in an £80m deal from Old Trafford four years ago.
But the forward admitted last season that he was ‘sad’ at some aspects of life in the Spanish capital and speculation is mounting that Ronaldo could make a dramatic return to United, despite Real president Florentino Perez’s desire to keep him.
The Portugal international has just two years remaining on his current deal at Real and is reportedly demanding mega bucks to stay at the club.
And Ronaldo has admitted he is yet to speak to Real’s hierarchy about extending his deal – news that will give decision makers at United renewed hope.
“I have not spoken with anyone yet but the most important thing is the team,” Ronaldo is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
