The 31-year-old Brazilian is thought to be house-hunting in the French capital ahead of the move, having signed his deal earlier this month. PSG are believed to have offered a three-year contract worth around nine million euros per-year.
United have been linked with Alves since last summer, and he was most recently tipped to join them as part of a £100m triple swoop from Louis van Gaal, who’s also chasing Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Juventus’ Paul Pogba.
Alves, who joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008, brings with him a wealth of experience to the Ligue 1 side, having played 329 games for the Catalans. He’s lifted 16 major trophies during his time at the Camp Nou, including two Champions League titles.
