Long-term Manchester United target Roberto Lewandowski is set to follow Borussia Dortmund teammate Mario Goetze to Bayern Munich, according to Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague.
Balague broke the news on twitter, shortly after the announcement that Goetze will move to the Allianz Arena in a £31.6m deal this summer.
Polish international Lewandowski was reportedly a target for the Red Devils last summer, before Robin van Persie moved to Old Trafford from Arsenal for £24m.
United have continued to be linked with the prolific forward this season, after another stunning campaign which has seen the 24-year-old score 31 times in just 41 appearances, including six in Dortmund’s run to the Champions League semi-final.
But Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich have also been tracking Lewandowski and could deal their closest league rivals another blow by wrapping up the signature of the striker.
