United are ready to offer Welbeck a new deal to keep him at the club.
Manchester United will do all they can to stop unsettled striker Danny Welbeck from leaving Old Trafford this summer, reports the Sun.
The 24-year old England international was reportedly unhappy under the management of David Moyes, although he had a vastly improved campaign this year.
Welbeck was unsettled at the club as he was forced to continuously play out of position on the wings.
Moyes wanted to accommodate the star duo of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie in the same starting line-up as far as possible and that meant that the Englishman was seldom handed a central starting berth.
United’s hierarchy and their new manager in waiting, Louis van Gaal, though are reportedly on the same page about wanting the forward to stay at the club and are therefore preparing a new deal which could see Welbeck pocket a higher wage than the £70,000 per week he currently earns.
