United ready to spend big in the January transfer window.
Manchester United are considering handing manager Louis van Gaal a significant transfer warchest of £200 million for the upcoming January transfer window, report the Daily Star via journalist Tancredi Palmeri, as they look to ensure qualification for next season’s Champions League and propel the Red Devils into a potential title challenge.

Van Gaal is set to use his kitty to pursue three world class starts that can strengthen his team across the pitch, following on from a summer of exorbitant spending on the likes of Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria. This is the trio in question:
Kevin Strootman (AS Roma)
Playmaker Kevin Strootman, currently of AS Roma, is a player known to be admired by Louis van Gaal, who was planning to build his Netherlands team for the World Cup around the former PSV Eindhoven star. Stadio Olimpico chiefs are huge fans of Strootman, however, and have previously suggested that it would take £80m to secure his signature – although half of that amount is likely to be closer to the requisite amount.
