Manchester United are expected to launch a late bid to try to sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund this winter, according to the Daily Mail.

The German international, who has also been linked with Arsenal in recent times, is known to be a priority target for Louis van Gaal, who will try one final offer for him before the transfer deadline.
Valued at around £37m, Hummels is one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment and would make an ideal signing at Old Trafford.
