According to the Daily Star, van Gaal has been impressed with what he’s seen from the Portuguese international this season, despite initially not deeming him good enough for his first-team plans this season.
The Red Devils have struggled to find their best form this season, and could benefit from more in attack as the likes of Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj struggle to impress in attacking midfield roles.
Nani was considered a key player for United for some time, but was allowed to leave on loan this season after a dip in form in the last couple of years.
