United are hoping to sign Depay from PSV.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has not yet signed any new Dutch players for Manchester United, but all indications are pointing towards the 62-year old eyeing a couple of swoops from his homeland.
Besides being linked with moves for Dutch international defenders Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi recently, van Gaal is also looking to snap up young prospect Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.
The 20-year old showed a lot of promise for van Gaal’s side at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and is now reportedly being scouted one final time before the Red Devils pull the trigger, reports the Metro.
However, reports suggests that any successful move could get the English giants to loan out the man being dubbed the ‘Dutch Ronaldo’ this season.
Man United’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be keen on the winger, but van Gaal’s Dutch connection means that the Red Devils would be firm favourites to land Depay.
