It’s soon to be announced that Sergio Ramos has agreed a new contract with Real Madrid amid weeks of Manchester United transfer talk.
ABC, cited by Goal, claim that the Spain international has put pen-to-paper on a new five-year deal with Los Blancos, which is set to be finalised at the end of next week.
According to the report, the contract is worth €9 million (£6.3m) per-year – €1m less than it was suggested Ramos had been demanding over the past few months.
The news will come as a huge blow to the Red Devils, who are said to feel betrayed by the 29-year-old after he insisted that he wanted Real to negotiate with United this summer.
All reports are pointing towards the idea that Ramos was simply playing a game to earn himself an improved deal at the Santiago Bernabeu – and never had any real intention to leave Madrid.
