Hernandez is likely to be sold at the end of the season as Tottenham and Inter close in.
Unsettled Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is to be allowed to leave Old Trafford in the summer as Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur close in, according to the Daily Star.
The Mexican has grown frustrated at the club under new manager David Moyes as the forward continues to have a lack of game time, with just nine starts in all competitions all season.
With it being a World Cup year and Hernandez expected to play a big part in his nation’s campaign this is proving to be a problem and the 25-year-old is not prepared to undergo the same treatment for another year.
Tottenham are looking for support in attack having recently sold Jermain Defoe to Toronto FC and Roberto Soldado having failed to impress since a £26m summer transfer from Valencia.
Although Emmanuel Adebayor has been in fine form since Tim Sherwood took over as manager and reinstated the 30-year-old in the first team, there has been too much reliance on the Togo international.
Spurs also know that Hernandez is used to English football, having joined the Premier League champions in 2010 from Deportivo Guadalajara and scoring 35 league goals since.

Although the attacker has never forced his way into a regular berth in the United starting XI, it has been particularly frustrating for the man known as ‘Chicharito’ since Moyes took charge.
Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and now Danny Welbeck are all ahead of Hernandez for a place upfront and although the Dutchman has also been linked with a summer departure, more game time isn’t expected in 2014/15.
Inter have also shown interest in the striker as they continue their squad overhaul under new owner Erick Thorir, who is keen to revitalise the Serie A club after a few years of disappointment.
They have already secured Hernandez’s club team-mate and captain Nemanja Vidic on a free transfer – which will go through at the end of the season – but Thorir has admitted that no contact has been made with the Mexico international.
“Chicharito is a good player but we have not spoken neither with him,” the Inter owner was quoted by Football365.
Hernandez has played 142 matches since arriving at the Theatre of Dreams nearly four years ago, scoring 57 times since then and providing 19 assists.
