Toni Kroos
If the Red Devils can land this brilliant German then there would be a wave of optimism around the club and although Kroos is a key member of an outstanding Bayern Munich squad, the notion of that happening is not so mad.
The Bundesliga champions are keen to tie the 24-year-old down to a new deal, but the attacking midfielder is reluctant and has openly admitted a switch to England is an option.
