Kroos admits on Facebook that the German has yet to sign a new contract with Bayern.
Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the January transfer window and there have now been further developments.
The 24-year-old is thought to be unsettled at the Allianz Arena and has now admitted to his 1.5 million Facebook followers that the German has failed to agree a new deal with Bayern.
Kroos was noticeably upset during a recent match with Stuttgart when the Germany international was subbed off by head coach Pep Guardiola – leading to further speculation that the midfield ace would be leaving.
The Bayern star joined the Bundesliga champions’ youth academy in 2006 and progressed to the first team 12 months later.
Since then Kroos has made 185 appearances in all competitions, helping the club to the treble of German cup and title and the Champions League last season, as well as having earned 41 caps for Germany to date.
United targeted the midfielder – who can in play in an attacking role, on the left, or more centrally – to help aid their waning creativity.
Since David Moyes took over as manager in the summer of 2013 the Red Devils have struggled to adapt and are currently seventh in the Premier League and 15 points off leaders Arsenal.
The English champions did purchase Juan Mata from Chelsea in a club record £37.1m deal in January, but they’re sure to be keeping a close eye on Kroos’ contract developments.
