The Scot was seen at the Atletico vs Porto match.
Speculation about Manchester United’s interest in Atletico Madrid starlet Koke is hotting up as manager David Moyes was spotted at their Champions League game.
The 50-year-old was in the stands to watch the Spaniards take on FC Porto on Wednesday night, as a 2-0 victory saw the team comfortably go through as group winners.
Moyes is desperate to improve the United midfield this January transfer window, as the side are struggling for creativity and it has affected their form.
Koke has been in great touch for Atleti this term, scoring three goals and providing 10 assists in 22 matches in all competitions.
Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Caminero admitted that their was a conversation with Moyes after the match.
“I suppose he came to see us because Atletico are a Champions League team and because they also qualified for the last 16,” Caminero was quoted by Goal.
“We spoke, but he didn’t tell me exactly why he had come…”
The attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the finest young talents in European football, after the 21-year-old broke into the first team in 2011.
Koke already has five caps for Spain and could instill the creative vibe the Red Devils so greatly lack of late, as Moyes has seen the team slump to successive Premier League defeats.
This poor run of form leaves United in ninth place in the English top tier and 13 points off leaders Arsenal after 15 matches.
