Gundogan is on the verge of deciding his future.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is set to finally decide his future and reveal whether he will be joining long-term admirers Manchester United.
The 23-year-old has been linked with the Red Devils for some time and they are confident of completing a £32m deal that will see Shinji Kagawa return to the Signal Aduna Park, according to the Mirror.

Gundogan has been strongly linked with some of the top teams around Europe however, with the Daily Star claiming Arsenal are keen on the German.
With the Gunners looking set for another disappointing campaign and potentially trophyless season for the ninth successive year, manager Arsene Wenger is expected to delve into the transfer market once more this summer.
However, according to the Metro German giants Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on Gundogan, as they look to improve what is already considered to be the strongest squad in world football.
Whilst playing for the Bundesliga giants may seem like an attractive prospect, competing with the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos and Thiago Alcantara for a place in the starting XI could see the 23-year-old’s opportunities at the Allianz Arena limited.
Especially as Gundogan has been absent from the Dortmund side for much of 2013/14 due to a back injury and would probably like to recover in a less pressured environment.
The box-to-box midfielder’s current contract with the Yellow and Blacks expires in 2015 and chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has spoken openly about negotiations with the player.
“As for the contract, it will not be a long, dragged-out affair. I think it is not going to be more than a matter of weeks,” Watzke was quoted by the Mirror.
Finally – and perhaps the most likely destination for Gundogan – Real Madrid are also interested in the Germany international, according to the Daily Express, and are the biggest contenders to United for the midfielder’s signature.
With more chance of Champions League success at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu that Old Trafford currently, David Moyes’ only hope can be that Los Blancos turn their attention more heavily towards Juventus star Arturo Vidal instead.
Gundogan is a midfielder who can operate just as well in defence or attack and with 84 appearances for Dortmund since a move from Nurnberg in 2011 and eight caps for the national team, has plenty of top level experience already.
