Saints to start spending spree with three United stars.
Southampton look set to reinvest the money from numerous player sales this summer with a sensational triple raid on Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The south coast club have seen a great number of their best players leave the St Mary’s Stadium this summer, with United snapping up youngster Luke Shaw for around £30m, while the likes of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren have all joined Liverpool.
New manager Ronald Koeman now looks set to enjoy some of the cash that has come in, and will target Javier Hernandez, Ashley Young and Wilfried Zaha as possible players to come in from United’s ranks.
None of the three are expected to be first-team regulars at Old Trafford this season, particularly if manager Louis van Gaal can bring in some of his own top transfer targets in attack.
Young has somewhat impressed in pre-season so far, but that may not be enough to make up for a largely disappointing career with the Red Devils since he joined the club from Aston Villa in 2011.
