The Red Devils unwilling to pay over the top for teenage starlet.
Manchester United are not willing to match Southampton’s valuation of their 18-year-old left-back Luke Shaw, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils were asked to up their offer for the England starlet to £34 million recently, but it seems as though the English giants will not budge on their stance.
Shaw is set to return from Brazil after England’s dismal show at the 2014 World Cup, and his boyhood club have set themselves up to play hardball over the potential move to Old Trafford for the highly rated defender.
Saints’ new boss Ronald Koeman has asked the hierarchy at St Mary’s to stonewall anymore bids for some of the club’s top players, which means that United might find it hard to sign their prime left-back target.
New boss Louis van Gaal though is under immense pressure to sign a left-back after one of the Red Devils’ backup defenders, Alex Buttner, has all but agreed a move to Dinamo Moscow.
