Cesc Fabregas (FC Barcelona)
Cesc Fabregas has regularly iterated his desire to stay at FC Barcelona despite Manchester United’s public pursuit of the Spain international throughout the summer, but the Daily Mail report that David Moyes has been encouraged by recent words from the 26 year-old, who reminded new manager Tata Martino that he existed after a brace against Real Betis.
“Today was time to say that I am here,” said Fabregas.
“I know the boss has a starting team in his head, and I am not in it.
“I played a good game against Celta, and then I was left out for most of the two games [against Espanyol and AC Milan], and that really messes you up. Today I wanted to vindicate myself so that does not happen again.”
A move for Fabregas still looks hugely optimistic for Manchester United, but the player’s unease at his lack of starting appearances will certainly be noted at Old Trafford.
