David Moyes’ squad is riddled with injury problems…
Team news:
David Moyes had to make three substitutions at half-time during the Premier League victory over Fulham on Saturday afternoon, meaning his defence will be nowhere near full strength.
Rio Ferdinand is still out, and both Jonny Evans and Rafael picked up weekend injuries. This means Phil Jones will likely start at centre-half, meaning Chris Smalling can deputise at right-back. Alternatively, Smalling could play in the middle, with Jones at right-back instead.
In midfield, Moyes should return Marouane Fellaini to the starting lineup, following Tom Cleverley’s injury. He will partner Michael Carrick, behind the strike duo of Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie.
On the flanks, Antonio Valencia will play following his Man of the Match performance at the weekend, while wonderkid Adnan Januzaj could be rested after playing the full 90 minutes at Craven Cottage. Either Shinji Kagawa or Nani could come in, but we reckon Ashley Young will be given the nod.
