After a difficult start to David Moyes’ Old Trafford career, there are signs Manchester United are starting to come good. Who has shone and who has been poor for the Red Devils this season?
Find out here.
The three players that have performed above expectations:
1) Wayne Rooney
Despite being linked with a transfer exit throughout the summer, Wayne Rooney has played a starring role for David Moyes’ Manchester United this season.
The England international forward has been allowed to play in his favoured role behind the striker, and has provided a fantastic eight goals and eight assists in 15 Barclays Premier League appearances.
Regardless of whether or not he handed in a transfer request at the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season in charge, Rooney has found a new lease of life under his former manager at Everton, and is likely the first name on Moyes’ team sheet.
