The three players that have performed below expectations:
1) Rio Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand was one of the best central defenders at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, as England built their campaign on a rock solid defence.
He was consistently brilliant for the next decade, with the 2009 UEFA Champions League winning campaign with Manchester United a particular highlight as he, Nemanja Vidic and Edwin Van Der Sar broke club and competition clean sheet records.
However, in 2013, he is finally showing signs of slowing down, with his pace and stamina notably lower and errors creeping into his performances.
After a brilliant career, Rio Ferdinand is no longer a guaranteed Manchester United starter.
