The maverick striker has been linked with a move to Italy in recent weeks, but Mancini has moved to pour cold water on reports of an imminent departure.
Balotelli enjoys a tumultuous relationship with Mancini, who also coached the player during their time together at Inter Milan, and relations were said to have frayed after a training ground bust-up between the pair last week.
The Italian international has seen little first team action this season, and it was reported the fracas was the last straw for both player and manager.
A number of clubs were reportedly interested in bringing the forward to Italy, including former club Inter Milan who have first refusal on the player and their city rivals, Berlusconi-owned AC Milan.
The Italian Prime Minister candidate may have shot himself in the foot however after comments criticising the player where reported to have gone down badly with the 22 year old.
Balotelli famously caused the ire of fans while playing for Inter after appearing on television wearing an AC Milan shirt. The player claims to be a life-long supporter of the Rossoneri.
