The Manly Sea Eagles have reportedly signed New Zealand Warriors forward Feleti Mateo after the New Zealand-based club granted him an early release from his two-year contract.
The Daily Telegraph report that Mateo has signed a two-year deal with the Sea Eagles in a deal that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2016 season.
Mateo’s signing means that Anthony Watmough is all but certain to join the Parramatta Eels next season.
It had been rumoured that Watmough would remain at the Sea Eagles after a change in ownership at the club, but it is believed a deal to join the Eels is all but done.
Mateo joined the Warriors from the Eels in 2011 and went on to notch up 95 games at the club.
