Pacquiao was speaking on ESPN First Take ahead of the only press conference for his fight with Mayweather on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The Filipino’s team shared his comments on his official Twitter account, with Pacquiao noting that his footwork and hand combinations will be his biggest advantage when he steps in the ring with his long-time rival, and mocking ‘Money’ by suggesting that he felt more worried ahead of his fights with Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto.
The 36-year-old insisted that him beating Mayweather “is good for boxing” as ultimately he believes that the success the American has achieved in the sport through his career has gone to his head.
Mayweather will put his unbeaten record on the line in May as he looks to improve to 48-0, but many believe that this will be his most difficult test yet despite the fact that the pair have taken so long to get the fight made.
However, boxing fans have finally been granted their wish and the pair will face off in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon with excitement continuing to build.
The pair have shared videos from their respective training camps on a regular basis, and despite being just two weeks in, they look focused and well conditioned for what will be the biggest fight in the history of the sport in terms of revenue and its reach around the globe.
With Pacquiao making such comments, the press conference is sure to be fiery with Mayweather not one to keep his thoughts to himself.

My footwork and hand combinations will be my advantage. I tell you Cotto and Margarito punch hard. This is boxing and its about punches.

Beating Floyd is good for boxing. When athletes have great success, their success goes to their head. That is bad for boxing.
