They are on track for a strong finish though as they humiliated QPR with a 6-0 victory on Sunday to ensure a top-four finish, and Argentine striker Sergio Agüero scored three goals in the game.
QPR fell to last place in the Premier League, and they will be relegated as they have no chance of climbing out of the bottom three.
This marked his third hat trick of the season, and he now has 25 goals in Premier League matches with 31 total.
Despite the 26-year-old star being a scoring machine this season, Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini boldly promised that Agüero’s career is only getting started.
“He understands he must work harder, he receives a lot more ball. He is working harder during the week. In the way he continues improving, he will continue improving in the future,” Pellegrini said to ESPN FC.
Man City has two relatively challenging matches ahead of them as they will take on Swansea City and Southampton, both of whom are in the top 10.
