Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli believes Brendan Rodgers’ tactics are affecting his game and are to blame for his poor form, according to the Independent.

Balotelli has been playing alone upfront this season as a replacement for Luis Suarez and in the absence of the injured Daniel Sturridge, and he says he would rather play off the main centre-forward.
The Italian international says he is not an out-and-out striker, and believes this is behind his poor start to life at Anfield.
“I have never been a real, out-and-out striker – I have always been someone who goes around the pitch,” he said.
“If it was my choice, I would always go with two strikers. It’s the way I like to play, but Brendan asked me to play as the first striker.”
