Mario Balotelli’s is reportedly set to be saved from his Liverpool nightmare by Serie A side Sampdoria.
The 24-year-old has scored just one goal in 16 Premier League games since moving to Liverpool from Inter Milan in August last year.

Liverpool have close to no chance of recouping the £16m transfer fee they paid Inter for Balotelli, but Brendan Rodgers is seemingly just keen to get the player off his wage bill.
Enter Sampdoria, who the Metro claim are willing to pay the majority of Balotelli’s £110,000-a-week wages.
Balotelli is keen to stay at Anfield, but he is not wanted and it is expected that he will take to opportunity to move to Sampdoria on an initial loan.
