Tell-tale snap re-opens debate over striker’s future.
AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has caused new wave of speculation following his recent appearance at the Puma store in New York City where he was seen posing for photos in front of an Arsenal badge alongside fiancée Fanny Neguesha.
The Italian international has been linked with a move to Arsenal long before the World Cup kicked off last month, though as of yet a concrete bid has failed to materialise.
However, fresh speculation has been sparked following the emergence of the photo below.
Though in a certain light, it seems fairly innocuous. Balotelli is after all sponsored by Puma, and footballers often drop into the big megastores in order to stock up on free gear and enhance the profile of the shop, so it seems perfectly natural that he would be in there.
However, despite his antics in the past, he is clever enough now to know that he cannot stand in front of another team’s badge after being linked to a transfer with them, surely he knows the implications of such an act.
It could be a thinly disguised hint at where his future may lie, or it could be a slightly less subtle ‘come and get me’ plea, but with both teams in New York over the coming week we can surely expect an outcome sooner rather than later.
