Roar man confident in his own abilities
Despite the probability of increased competition for his left back spot, Matt McKay believes the return of Michael Zullo to Australia can only be a good thing.
Zullo Arrived from Holland to complete a year long loan signing with Adelaide United, after failing to start the first four matches of the season with FC Utrecht.
McKay who plays in midfield for club side Brisbane Roar is Osieck’s first choice left back, and isn’t at all worried about the competition from the versatile 24-year-old.
Speaking to Adelaide Now McKay said: ” I’ve been around long enough and I’m just looking forward to the Brazil game and hopefully France in October as well.
“If I get the opportunity to play there( left back) again and I do well, that’s all I can do. I can just concentrate on each performance in whichever position I’m playing.
The utility man was also positive about the impact Zullo would have on the A-League: ” It’s a great move for him.
“Similar to me, he’s coming back to the A-League, which is a great competition. You need regular football and then you’ve got to be playing well.
“He’s a great guy and he’ll bring a lot to Adelaide and hopefully the Socceroos in the future.”
