Two entertainment icons, actor Mark Wahlberg and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs have publicly placed a $250,000 bet on the outcome of the May 2nd fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
In a friendly wager made between the two former rappers and current entertainment producers on Showtime Sports, Diddy – who stands firmly with Team Mayweather for the $200 million fight – proposed a $100,000 bet against Wahlberg that Mayweather would win. Wahlberg – a friend of Pacquiao and one of his most public supporters – scoffed and said “Why so little?” prompting Diddy to raise the stake to a whopping $250,000.

The $250,000 bet is peanuts for a man with as money as Diddy however, who has an estimated net worth of over $600 million as of 2014, according to Wikipedia. Wahlberg might be making considerably less than Diddy, but considering that his net worth is estimated at around $200 million, losing the bet likely won’t make the difference between his kids going to college or not.
