Naturally, the excitement will surround the biggest fight in boxing history but there is undoubtedly a solid undercard in place despite the fact that it isn’t even necessary.
Featuring on the bill will be two televised bouts, with WBC super-bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz taking on Jose Cayetano and WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko facing Gamalier Rodriguez.
Santa Cruz has long been touted as a possible opponent for either Scott Quigg or Carl Frampton, but a fight with neither British star has materialised as he continues to shine Stateside.
In addition, there were will be four untelevised bouts on the cards, with Chris Pearson taking on Said El Harrak, Jesse Hart and Mike Jimenez going to battle, Andrew Tabiti facing Anthony Caputo Smith and Brad Solomon’s encounter with Adrian Rene Granados.
The doors to the arena will open at 2pm local time in Las Vegas, while the main event is currently scheduled for 8pm local time which is 4am in the UK on Sunday morning.
As with any boxing event, this will be subject to change as fights may last the distance and in turn push the scheduled bouts following it back. However, Mayweather and Pacquiao will not be expected to make their way to the ring any later than 5am UK time.
While some of the individuals on the undercard certainly aren’t household names, they do feature members of the ‘Money Team’ as well as some big stars across the pond and it will be enough to keep the fans in attendance busy until the historic bout that they are all waiting for finally happens.
