Australia left-back has re-joined Heart on a season-long loan deal from Bursaspor.
Melbourne Heart head coach John Aloisi has welcomed the return of left-back Aziz Behic to AAMI Park.
The Australia international has re-joined Heart, where he made 65 appearances between 2010 and 2013, on a season-long loan following a short stint at Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor and commenced training with the club on Monday.
Aloisi is delighted to have the 22-year-old on board for the upcoming A-League season and believes he will bring added flexibility and attacking options to the squad.
“Everyone knows how much we like him at the Club and what I think of him,” Aloisi told Melbourne Heart’s official FFA page.
“He loves Melbourne Heart so it’s great to have him back, he’s a player that we missed.
“He gives us so much going forward and he also brings a winning spirit that lifts the players when we are down in a game.”
Behic’s is expected to be Heart’s first-choice left back next term with Aloisi hinting that his homecoming will allow for a more attacking approach.
“I’ve got options, which is great, it’s always good to have options – I can play Iain a little bit higher up,” Aloisi said.
