Winger looking to get back to the form of 2012 where he was a sensation.
Melbourne Storm’s backline has been bolstered with the signing of exciting Fijian winger Marika Koroibete for the remainder of the season.
The Wests Tigers flyer has signed a deal that ties him to the club until the end of the 2016 season in a move that will see him link up with Storm’s fellow Fijian international winger Sisa Waqa.
The 21-year-old burst onto the scene two years ago, scoring 12 tries in his 16 appearances.
Since then he has struggled with injury and other concerns, however, the Storm will be hoping coach Craig Bellamy can get the best out of him again.
“An opportunity came up to bolster our depth to our outside backs and with limited chances at the Tigers this season, we saw Marika as an exciting talent who was coming off contract at the end of the season,” Storm football manager Frank Ponissi said.
“Marika has displayed outstanding form in the NSW Cup, he is the leading tryscorer of the competition with 15 and we see his signing as adding strength to our roster.”
