Madrid winger hit with 500 euros fine.
Germany international Mesut Ozil is the latest in a long line of Real Madrid players to have been fined for a driving offence, according to reports in Spanish sports daily Marca on Sunday.
The German international was fined 500 euros ($650, £435) and had six points taken off his licence for performing an illegal turn, said the newspaper, citing Radio Nacional de Espana as their source.
Ozil’s teammates Karim Benzema and Marcelo have also been trouble with the authorities recently for driving offences.
Benzema has a hearing on March 26 after being caught driving at 216 kilometres per hour on February 3.
Marcelo meanwhile was fined 6,000 euros ($7,800, £5,225) at the rate of 25 euros ($32, £22) a day for the next eight months on Thursday for driving after his licence had been revoked.
