Mesut Ozil – Arsenal’s most expensive signing ever, following his £42.5m arrival from Real Madrid in 2013 – was recently the subject of shocking speculation.
The 26-year-old German playmaker was linked with a possible move to Turkish giants Besiktas.

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has shot down rumours of an Ozil exit.
Speaking to the media on Friday – to preview Monday night’s game with Liverpool – Wenger said: “He is completely committed to the club. He is focused on getting results.”
Besiktas even thinking about signing Ozil is incredibly ambitious, if not purely ridiculous.
He is one of the best midfielders in the world and they are not even the best team in Istanbul.
