It is looking even more like Mike Wallace, who is their top wide receiver, will also be cut by the Dolphins as he is reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut.
Wallace had signed a five-year, $60 million contract with the Dolphins in 2013 after spending his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He has been unable to reach 1,000 receiving yards since leaving Pittsburgh, but he came up with 10 touchdown catches in 2014.
The Dolphins are fed up with his attitude due to him quitting on the team during a game, but he is due $9.9 million in salary for the 2015 season.
Wallace is reportedly refusing to reduce his salary, so this makes him a candidate to be cut by the Dolphins.
Although Wallace has not been a model locker room citizen, his release is sure to stifle quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s development since he will have lost two of his top wide receivers.
