Michael Clarke is expected to bat on day two of the first Test against India at the Adelaide Oval.
The Australian skipper retired hurt of 60 yesterday after re-injuring his troublesome back.
Clarke underwent scans yesterday and had injections to minimise inflammation.
The 33-year-old was batting in the nets just hours before the beginning of the day’s play and is reported to have held up well after facing numerous short balls from Australian staff.
