Positive news, as Schumacher shows moments of consciousness…
Michael Schumacher is displaying signs that his condition is improving, reports the Telegraph.
The F1 legend is showing “moments of consciousness and awakening”, his agent Sabine Kehm said today.
“We are on his side during his long and difficult fight, together with the team of the hospital in Grenoble, and we keep remaining confident,” she added.
“We would like to thank you all for the continuous sympathies. At the same time we again ask for understanding that we do not intend to disclose details.”
Schumacher has been in a medically induced coma since December 29 last year, after he hit the right side of his head on a rock while skiing with his family.
Since then, the seven-time world champion has been fighting for his life with neurosurgeons forced to operate twice at Grenoble University Hospital, to alleviate pressure inside Schumacher’s skull and remove blood clots formed as a result of the accident.
The news will install new hope to the family and fans of Schumacher, whose condition had previously been described as so bad by Dr Gary Hartstein, it was unlikely he would ever recover.
