Spaniard wants to keeping playing under Laudrup in South Wales.
Spanish sensation Michu has dropped the biggest hint yet that he wants to remain at Swansea City next season after revealing that he has urged boss Michael Laudrup not to leave the club.
The 19-goal forward has been a revelation since arriving at the Liberty Stadium from Rayo Vallecano for just £2m in the summer.
The 26-year-old signed a new four-year contract in January but remains coveted by a host of top European clubs are bagging 15 goals in the Premier League so far this term.
But following the Capital One Cup success on Sunday, Michu has revealed he is looking forward to leading the Jacks in Europe next season and hopes Laudrup remains at the club.
“I have gone up to Michael [at Wembley on Sunday] and said ‘stay with us now we are in Europe’,” Michu is quoted as saying by the Guardian.
Laudrup has been linked with a return to Real Madrid after topping a supporters poll of preferred choices to succeed under-pressure boss Jose Mourinho in the summer, should the Portuguese depart as expected.
“The gaffer here has done great in his first season. I know other people will want him.
“He is really good, doing really well and maybe he can go with another club, but I hope he will stay here.
“We are growing up really fast and it is always difficult for a club of our size to win a trophy. But I think now we are going to play in Europe we can bring in some very good players and can be a stronger team next season.”
