Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted for child abuse earlier this week, and he was deactivated for the Vikings’ Week 2 game against the New England Patriots.
After speculation that similar disciplinary action to Ray Rice would be taken against the Vikings running back, the team decided to reinstate him for Week 3.
This decision will inevitably cause outrage among fans, but the Vikings organization explained that they are waiting for the facts to come out before taking any action.
Peterson himself also released a statement on the incident. Here is a tweet from the running back releasing his statement on his verified Twitter account.
