The Vikings announced that they will not cut the future Hall of Fame running back. His 2014 season was marred by an indictment for child abuse.
This involved him allegedly beating his four-year-old son with a tree branch that had no leaves, and the Vikings deactivated him.
His indefinite suspension has been overturned, and he is eligible to return to playing. Rumors had surfaced that he would be traded to the Dallas Cowboys, but they signed Darren McFadden.
Sports Illustrated indicated that Peterson will not leave on Twitter.
