Attacking midfield to to reunite with his former coach as part of his new club.
Brisbane Roar midfielder Mitch Nichols has signed a two-year deal to reunite with former coach Ange Postecoglou at Melbourne Victory.
Nichols spent six seasons at two-time A-League champions Brisbane, making 125 appearances and scoring 24 goals.
The 24-year-old, who has made one international appearance, is rated as one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in the domestic competition.
“For someone so young he’s achieved a lot in his career to date, but he’s still extremely hungry for more success and he’ll add some real attacking flair to our group,” Postecoglou said.
Nichols said he felt it was time for a change in moving to Melbourne.
“I’ve enjoyed six great seasons and plenty of success at Brisbane Roar but I just felt it was time for a change, so when Melbourne came calling I didn’t hesitate – even though I still had options in Europe,” he said.
