Midfielder Mix Diskerud is rapidly becoming one of the most important players for the US national side, and could soon move to the MLS.

He is still open to a US move though. In post match comments after the Ireland game, the 24 year old said “I don’t know [about the future], but I’m excited. I’m open for anything right now. I have my people to talk to and discuss options, so we’ll see what happens. But I’m holding all options open”.
Having spent the last two seasons with Norwegian side Rosenborg, he is now out of contract and can move on a free transfer. He has started every game for the US since the World Cup.
