4. The Atlanta Braves bullpen is fine without Craig Kimbrel
The Braves sent shockwaves through the baseball world when they traded their perennial All-Star closer to the San Diego Padres, but their bullpen has functioned well with Jason Grilli as their closer. Grilli has notched three saves so far as the Braves started 5-1.
Grilli’s hot start has helped the Braves rank first in overall ERA with 1.83, and they are the only team with a collective ERA below two. Their bullpen has a 0.44 ERA, which ranks only below the perfect Royals. However, the Braves will need to find a new closer soon since Grilli is 38 years old.
