The MLS is set for a record-breaking year with regards to in-stadium attendances.
The American soccer league has been slowly gaining fans and admirers since it’s launch in 1996.

2014 will mark its best year for attendances. With only one week left in the 2014 regular season, the MLS is now averaging 19,039 fans per match, thus marking the first time the league has topped the 19,000 mark. Furthermore, a record eight teams are now averaging more than 20,000 fans a game, and at least five teams will break their own single-season average attendance records.
The best supported team are the Seattle Sounders who rack up an impressive 42,863 fans per match on average. At the other end, Chivas USA are only managing 7,156 on average.
