Adam Moffat salvaged a point for the Dynamo in the 90th minute.
Houston Dynamo dented Chicago Fire’s play-off hopes with a stoppage time equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Toyota Park on Sunday afternoon.
An own goal from Bobby Boswell gave the Fire a 37th minute lead that appeared to put them on course for a crucial three points until Adam Moffat controlled a clever backheel from Corey Ashe and lashed an unstoppable strike past goalkeeper Sean Johnson to salvage a point for the visitors at the death.
It meant Houston remain on the fringes of the top-five and prevented the hosts from leapfrogging them in the table.
