Caludio Ranieri hopes that the Atletico Madrid striker will turn down Chelsea and Manchester City to join Ligue 1 side.
Newly-promoted Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are hoping that Radamel Falcao will turn down advances from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City this summer.
Boss Claudio Ranieri remains confident the Uruguayan will move to the principality club this summer, with Monaco willing to offer Atletico Madrid £51m for the world’s most coveted striker.
Falcao has scored a whopping 31 goals in just 37 appearances for the La Liga outfit this season and the Italian highlighted his lethal finishing as a major asset.
“Who wouldn’t want a player who always scores? We hope he can join us,” Ranieri is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
“That way we can start building for the future.”
Monaco have been linked with a wide range of European stars as they look to challenge PSG for the Ligue 1 title next season and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has also been frequently linked with Monaco.
