French club hoping to tempt the Specia One with mega-bucks offer.
Monaco are hoping to win the race to seal the signature of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho by making him a huge mega-bucks offer according to The Mirror.
The Portuguese manager is set for talks with Real Madrid officials at the end of the season and is widely expected to part terms with the Spanish giants.
Mourinho has endured a fractured relationship with the Bernabeu dressing room with the club’s senior players reportedly insisting they will hand in transfer requests should Mourinho remain in charge next season and with the club having slipped away to Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title this season, it looks likely that Mourinho will come onto the market this summer.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with bringing Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge but it now appears that Monaco are hoping to gazump their Premier League rivals by offering to make the Special One the best paid manager in the world.
Monaco are currently owned by Russian businessman Dmitry Rybolovlev who is keen to see the club establish itself amongst the European elite.
He has reportedly identified Mourinho as the man for the job and his keen to beat his compatriot Roman Abramovich to the manager’s signature.
