French side AS Monaco are set to make a bid for Galtasaray winger Bruma, a player who has reported to be a target of Chelsea.
According to reports from Turkish Football today, wealthy Ligue 1 runners-up AS Monaco are set to make a significant bid for teenage winger Bruma from Galatasaray, a player who is believed to be on the radar of Premier League sides including Chelsea and Everton.
The 19 year-old Guinea-Bissau born Portuguese youth international arrived in Istanbul last summer, joining from Sporting Lisbon, and has continued to impress watching scouts with his pace and trickery from wide areas.
His 2013/14 season was cut short after he suffered a serious knee injury in a Turkish cup tie against Tokatspor, but he did sufficiently well in the opening months of the season to continuing attracting admiring glances from England.
Chelsea are believed to maintain an interest in Bruma but the big-money capture of Cesc Fabregas, coupled with an imminent deal for Diego Costa, means that Jose Mourinho must count the pennies ahead of any further summer deals, with players probably likely to have to be sold before the Portuguese manager could get the green light to move for his countryman.
This situation may allow in Monaco, who are keen to continue building an impressive squad on the French Riviera, having completed the big money captures of Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez last summer.
